Ella Monaghan: A Step Through Life
Ella Monaghan is thrilled to be presenting her jazz Honours graduation recital. Growing up doing musical theatre, Ella fell in love with performing at a young age. When she transitioned into singing jazz, Ella held onto the storytelling aspects of singing and enjoys taking the audience on an emotional journey through her interpretations, with a voice that has been described as “sweet” and “nostalgic”. With Cécile McLorin Salvant and Stephen Sondheim being some of her biggest inspirations, Ella intends to blend the genres of jazz and musical theatre seamlessly into one. Ella guarantees that her performance will have something everyone can enjoy as she dives into some of the most important aspects of her life and musical career in her final WAAPA performance.
Flavio’s Graduation Recital
Hey there, on this night I’ll be performing some of my own music, written from my journey across this year. I think my writing falls into the “modern jazz” category, but for this performance I’m aiming to be more spontaneous and just focus on really expressing myself through the music. I hope to see you there, it would mean a lot to share this one with you.
