OUT of ABINGDON create soulful, jazzy lounge music. Warwick Hargreaves plays a mean, energetic bluesy guitar and his rich
gravelly voice blended with Tina’s ethereal vocals and stripped back double bass grooves creates a grooving, soothing, sonic elixir. This performance will combine original compositions, some jazz faves and well known contemporary tunes given an interesting twist with soft vocals, laid-back bass, mesmerising guitar and cool grooves!
Warwick Hargreaves and Tina Fullerton’s stripped back guitar, double bass and vocal blend is a grooving, soothing, sonic elixir in amongst a bustling soundscape. After playing and touring extensively for over 15 years the duo made the move into touring and living full-time in their converted house truck and love sharing their music with audiences far and wide.
Writing new music drawn from tales and experiences on the road OUT of ABINGDON released their much awaited 5th independent album RED DIRT TRACKS in April 2024. The duo have numerous tours to Europe and the UK under their belt, playing jazz clubs in Edinburgh, Berlin and Paris. They are darlings of the East Coast Festival and venue circuit where they’ve
built a loyal following. Playing at Savannah in the Round, Brisbane Festival, Brisbane International Jazz, the GAS, Wallaby Creek Music, Wintermoon, Northern Australia Festival of Arts and Black Mountain Unplugged in QLD, NSW’s Kiama Jazz & Blues, Illawarra Folk, Peak Music, VIC’s Bendigo Blues & Roots, St Kilda Blues and Tassie’s Cygnet Folk have been some of the highlights of recent years. The diversity of festivals and venues where they are welcomed, is a reflection of the scope of OUT of ABINGDON’s musical appeal.
With influences from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Bjork, to jazz and contemporary greats, OoA are not easy to pin to a genre, but their musicianship, genuine love of playing and onstage chemistry shines. Warwick and Tina are ‘in-demand’ players at festivals, recently collaborating with artists such as Vince Jones, Dave Steel, Neil Murray, Phil Manning and Tim Woodz and they are always up for a jam!
