Love letters and jazz notes…
What happens when the most private words are spoken aloud, and music answers back?
Lit Live brings together an intimate performance of carefully selected love letters read by professional actors, with their sentiments echoed by timeless melodies sung by Ali Bodycoat.
The result is an intimate journey through affection, connection, longing, passion and loss— heartfelt moments that are both personal and universal.
Lit Live: Where Perth’s best actors transport you through the magic of fiction, one short story at a time.
Lit Live is based on a simple premise: take great short stories by international and national writers and have them performed on stage by some of Perth’s best known and best-loved actors, accompanied by great live music.
Lit Live producer Sarah McNeill has staged shows including The Vagina Monologues and Orson Welles’ War of the Worlds and curates storytelling events regularly around Perth, with actors joined by classical, contemporary and jazz musicians.
Lit Live is about sharing the joy, fun, laughter and tears of great storytelling with like-minded people.
