Currently pursuing a BA in Jazz Performance with a focus on saxophone, Monet has made significant strides in her career. She has won several awards, including Best Jazz Vocalist and Most Outstanding Woodwind Musician. At the age of 12, she gained international recognition by winning a songwriting competition, leading to a performance in Vienna, Austria.
Monet’s accomplishments extend to creating three successful Christchurch bands: Chicks From Corea (a five-piece jazz band), Roster (an eight-piece funk band), and Blue Ruby (a duo). She is a rising star on the international touring circuit and most recently, Monet performed in front of 100,000 people at last year’s Christmas in the Park show in Christchurch.
