Zoe has recently graduated from WAAPA and is excited to share her original music in her debut Ellington show. Over the last couple of years she has discovered her passion for composition and storytelling through writing music and since graduating has been a part of some exciting projects including the Western Australian Jazz Project as well as exploring her own musical endeavors and regularly performing around Perth playing her original music.
Her compositional and musical approach is heavily influenced by people including Kenny Wheeler, Ambrose Akinmusire and Philip Dizack to name a few so expect a variety of different styles. She will be debuting some new music she has been working on recently as well as playing some of her older stuff. Make sure to catch this show as it will be one of her last performances in Perth for a while as she prepares to move to Melbourne in February. Don’t miss out and come and say goodbye before she heads off!
This show features an exciting lineup of musicians (and possibly some special guests) including:
Aiden Moroney – Guitar
Callum Thomson – Drums
Zac Grafton – Bass
Emily Nahler – Piano
Aaron Caldwell – Sax
