Celebrate a year of growth, creativity and big band jazz at the Northern Corridor End-of-Year Showcase.
Under the direction of Jess Herbert, the WAYJO Northern Corridor Training Band (WAYJO NC) takes to the stage at The Ellington Jazz Club to present a dynamic program drawn from the repertoire they’ve developed throughout 2026. From blues and swing to contemporary big band styles, this performance highlights the technical skill, musical confidence and ensemble spirit built over a year of rehearsals, mentoring and performance opportunities.
WAYJO NC supports high school musicians in deepening their understanding of big band jazz, developing improvisation skills, leadership and strong ensemble awareness. This showcase is both a celebration of their progress and a glimpse of the exciting pathways that lie ahead.
