Many a performer can entertain an audience, but only a very few can connect with a listener on a deeply personal level, serve up a stunning introspection on todays political and social climate, and deliver a soul stirring performance in the process. Vivian Sessoms is such an artist.

A passionate and charismatic performer with a unique approach to her particular blend of jazz, soul, and protest music, her performances are a constant showcase of versatility and emotional depth, reflecting her extensive music career, and professional history.

Her vibrant and engaging attitude is partly owed to Vivian’s background: she was born in Harlem, into a family where art and music were ever present, and the house constantly overflowed with musicians, painters and poets.

Hailed by both Rolling Stone and Billboard Magazines as a singer with an exquisite voice, she’s had the opportunity to work with Cher, MJ, P!nk, Joe Cocker, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Chris Botti, Christina Aguilera and several others too numerous to list here, but releasing her own music in collaboration with partner and co-producer Chris Parks, has definitely been the most pivotal of her life.
