From tunes of unrequited love to tunes of meteorological phenomenons, Tomas Clifford’s Back Pocket promises an varied and exciting evening featuring some of Perth’s best: Edward Drake on Keys, Jared Hemara on Bass, Callum Thomson on Drums, and Josh Parker on Saxophone.
Tomas debuted his original musical-cabaret Tomas Clifford Got Stood Up at FRINGE WORLD 2025, where it achieved critical acclaim and took home the highest accolade of the festival, the Martin Sims Award. After an encore performance of the show at Perth Comedy Festival in May of 2025, Tomas Clifford Got Stood Up toured to Melbourne Fringe in October, where it took home a Judge’s Pick and the Best New Work by an Emerging Artist Award. The show retuned to FRINGE WORLD in January 2026 before a one-night-only engagement at the Albany Entertainment Centre during Albany Pride Festival in February. In March of this year, Tomas Clifford Got Stood Up toured to Adelaide Fringe, where it achieved a coveted Weekly Award, and where Tomas won the Adelaide Fringe Emerging Artist Awardfor the entire 2026 festival. Most recently Tomas Clifford Got Stood Up took home the Outstanding New Work (Musicals, Cabaret, Opera) Award at the 2025 Performing Arts WA (PAWA) Awards.
Tomas has recently completed a residency at the Subiaco Arts Centre after being the successful applicant of their 2026 Artist in Residence Program. This residency culminated in a workshop showing of his original in-development musical, Staffies.
