The Billy Hinde Big Band is a collective comprised of some of the most elite jazz composers and performers in the Perth area.
Billy Hinde is a young saxophonist with a highly decorated career including performances at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, recordings at ABC studios and performances with the Jazzlab orchestra, one of Australia’s top recording original jazz orchestras.
He has always been incredibly passionate about big band music, running his own big band since the age of 18.
Billy Hinde as a saxophonist has always loved Art Pepper and has been one of his greatest influences, in particular the album “Art Pepper + Eleven” combined his love of Big Band and his love of Art Peppers iconic bebop/ blues playing.
