After a sold out debut performance, the recently launched James Chapman Six are an exciting 6-piece band, performing compelling arrangements of jazz standards, widely-known contemporary pieces, as well as some original compositions. Expect to hear a captivating performance of popular jazz numbers such as ‘Pennies From Heaven’, Cab Calloway’s ‘Minnie the Moocher’, as well as classic hits including Billy Joel’s ‘And So it Goes’.

For this performance with The JC6, we are thrilled to have wonderful vocalist Lucy Iffla join us on stage. Lucy’s vocal style is a blend of jazz and folk, drawing influences from artists such as Joni Mitchell, Lianne La Havas and Ella Fitzgerald. Lucy is known for her dynamic stage presence and ability to connect with her audience on a personal level.

We are also lucky enough to be joined by incredible trombonist Will Pethick – all the way from Berlin where he currently resides. With the band members (including Lucy and Will) all acquainting through the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), come and witness some of Perth’s finest young and talented musicians perform James’ arrangements and original compositions – a night not to be missed!
