Fresh from sold-out shows at The Ellington Jazz Club and Blossom Festival, SUBSPECTRA brings their show “A Night of Live Drum & Bass” for the first time to FRINGE WORLD. Honouring the pioneers of the genre, SUBSPECTRA reimagine classic and contemporary drum & bass with a dynamic live show that takes the music from the DJ booth to a full live experience.

A six-piece outfit with live drums, bass, guitar, synthesizers, vocals and Gamma MC, SUBSPECTRA captures the raw pulse of the rave while delivering the intensity of the stage. For fans who crave the energy of electronic music and the thrill of live musicianship, SUBSPECTRA will deliver a show that’s dance worthy, dynamic and unforgettable.

About the artist

Blending cutting-edge electronic production with the raw energy of a live band, SUBSPECTRA is a six-piece powerhouse delivering an electrifying take on drum & bass. With a lineup featuring live drums, bass, guitar, synthesizers, vocals, and the undeniable presence of Gamma MC, they bring an unmatched fusion of musicianship and club energy to the stage.

SUBSPECTRA pays homage to the genre’s pioneers with dynamic live renditions of classics and contemporary tracks from DJ Marky, Roni Size, S.P.Y., High Contrast, Adam F, Calibre, Sub Focus, Pendulum, London Elektricity, and more. Their performances transform drum & bass from the DJ booth to a full live spectacle, offering audiences a unique and immersive experience.

Reforming in late 2023, the band evolved with a fresh vision, backed by world-renowned sound engineer Gaetan Schurrer (aka naughtyG), who was a key part of DJ Sasha’s (UK) original production team, working on all his singles, remixes, and the iconic Northern Exposure albums. His expertise ensures SUBSPECTRA’s shows deliver pristine, floor-shaking sound through every crowd.

Making their mark on the festival scene, SUBSPECTRA packed the Undergrowth Stage at Blossom Festival 2025, with a high-energy performance that resonated across the open-air crowd, reinforcing their profile in the live drum & bass scene.

They have also collaborated with international artists, performing live alongside acclaimed drum & bass producer Ben Soundscape (UK) and singer/songwriter Collette Warren (UK) on their track “Cold Black Soul.”

With over a decade of captivating performances across venues like Freo.Social, The Bird, Old Habits Bar, Ronnie Nights, Ellington Jazz Club, The Rosemount, Four5Nine Bar, Clancy’s Fish Pub, and the now-closed Badlands Bar and The Sewing Room, SUBSPECTRA continues to be a standout act in Perth’s drum & bass scene.
