Showcasing rising talent from WA Schools. This show celebrates the next generation of jazz musicians from government schools, spotlighting outstanding young vocalists and instrumentalists as they step into the world of big band performance.
This big band is made up of dedicated and experienced jazz educators from the Instrumental Music School Services (IMSS). All volunteer much of their time to play a supporting role for these young stars. These emerging performers will bring big band–style jazz, latin, funk and rock to the stage, highlighting their skills in improvisation, musical expression, and stage presence. The showcase is a chance to experience the passion and creativity of tomorrow’s jazz stars as they develop their voices and craft in a live performance setting.
