SHOWAYJO brings together 12 of WAYJO’s finest musicians—6 of whom were selected to represent Australia on tour in Tokyo this September—and six top students from Japan’s prestigious Showa University of Music.
Under the expert direction of Gemma Farrell and Masa Ikeda, this powerhouse ensemble will deliver a swinging hour of classic big band repertoire, with soulful vocals by Sofie Kerr.
Celebrate the spirit of cross-cultural exchange through the timeless language of jazz in the intimate setting of The Ellington Jazz Club on the closing night of Perth International Jazz Festival!
