Rio Berryman is back on the Ellington stage – this time with his 13-piece jazz orchestra!
At 21, Rio is a 2x GIJ Vocal Scholarship finalist (2024, 2026) and a 2x WAM Song of the Year nominee (2022, 2023), making him one of Perth’s most exciting young singer/songwriters. Also a proficient pianist, Rio has received the WAAPA Greg Benjamin Music Entrance Scholarship for jazz piano (2023). These talents will be brought together to create an unforgettable experience as Rio Berryman leads his own orchestra for the first time.
Featuring some of WA’s best and brightest young saxophonists, trumpeters and trombonists, this orchestra creates an electrifying atmosphere with every note, coming together for the first time to present a set of award-nominated original songs, as well as classic standards audiences know and love.
