An Evening in Tribute to the Golden Age of French Variété and Jazz.
This winter, take a trip to a Parisian café – no passport required. From the comfort of your Perth backyard (or more precisely, the cosy glow of The Ellington), Queency invites you to gaze up at an imaginary Sacré‑Cœur and drift into the golden age of French variété.
Known for his electrifying stage presence, virtuosic vocal ability, and unforgettable passage on The Voice Australia, Queency brings his French heritage centre‑stage in this heartfelt homage to one of France’s greatest vocalists: Charles Aznavour. With warmth, flair, and that unmistakable je‑ne‑sais‑quoi, he reimagines iconic classics – “La Bohème”, “Hier Encore”, “Emmenez-moi”, “For Me Formidable” – infusing them with both nostalgia and new life.
Joining him is pianist extraordinaire Thierryno Gangou, leading a stacked ensemble complete with brass and strings to deliver a lush, cinematic sound worthy of Paris’ grandest cabarets. It’s a night designed to wrap around you like a wool coat in winter — full of memory, romance, and musical storytelling.
Come warm your nostalgic soul this Perth winter. Paris awaits.
