PRAAZ is a collective of established musicians of various different genres that have come together to play a unique blend of cross-cultural music.

This band consists of multi-talented musicians which helps in creating a unique sound for almost every individual track.

The band is formed and led by Praaz (Praashekh Borkar) who is predominantly an Indian Classical Sarod player and features the Sarod and the Esarod(an instrument he invented) as the main lead instruments, alongside being the composer of this band.

Praashekh has been performing the Sarod for over 25 years and has played at many major venues and festivals globally.

On drums we have the brilliant composer and multi-instrumentalist Tao Issaro. He also joins us on a variety of percussion instruments from different parts of the world such as the persian Daf, South Indian Dhol, African Calabash and Jaw harp to name a few.

We have Dev Venugopal on Bass and Konnakol south indian vocal rhythmic percussion.

On Keyboards we have the brilliant composer and pianist Flavio Colonetti.

On Tabla, Darbuka, Handsonic and Sri-lankan percussion we have Isuru Perera

Joining us for the 1st time we have one of WA’s finest multi-dimensional guitarist Karl Hiller adding in a fresh new element from classical guitar to progressive rock to PRAAZ .

This contrasting mix of musicians create a unique blend of world music style that fuses music from Indian Classical, Arabic, Folk, Celtic and Jazz music.
