This reunion features the highly anticipated return of one of Australia’s finest guitarists, Steve Magnusson, alongside long time collaborators, saxophonist Jamie Oehlers and drummer Ben Vanderwal, for this one off performance.
In 2014, this ensemble came together to record their first self-titled album, “Paper Tiger”, which then toured the country and became an Australian jazz fan favourite.
Bringing together original compositions and pieces written by artists like Keith Jarrett, Paul Motian, and Thelonious Monk, ‘Paper Tiger’ creates a unique sonic platform that launches their improvisations and interpretations.
