“Wow Girl!!……. You can REALLY Sing!” Jumoke Fashole, BBC London Radio

Prepare to be utterly spellbound by the sensational Nina Ferro! This multi-award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and recording artist is the embodiment of musical perfection, boasting a voice that’s nothing short of awe-inspiring. With an international reputation for her #vocalbadassery, Nina has captured the hearts of fans and fellow musicians alike.

Nina Ferro is a Melbourne-based, multi award-winning vocalist, songwriter and recording artist with an international career spanning almost four decades. Born to Italian parents and holding Australian and British citizenship, Nina began as a jazz vocalist steeped in the American songbook before her writing and performing evolved toward soul, R&B, funk, blues, country and rock — the palette that defines her current work.

Nina has released eight solo albums, most recently Into the Light, recorded in Nashville. Her live history includes performances in many of Australia’s leading venuesas well as over 80 shows at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and Wembley Arena (london), sixteen performances at Sydney’s Homebush Stadium during the 2000 Olympics, and a broadcast New Year’s Eve concert in Guangzhou seen by over a billion people worldwide. In Australia, she performed with The Cat Empire at the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony (MCG, 2006) and to 70,000 at the Boxing Day Test, and reached the Top 32 on The Voice Australia (2016). She has shared stages with Tony Bennett, Anastacia, Billy Ocean, Ricky Martin, Kate Ceberano, Jon Stevens, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Renée Geyer, Gregory Porter, Charles Aznavour and Neil Sedaka among many others.

Don’t just take our word for it – legendary crooner Tony Bennett himself declared, “She’s a fabulous performer with a knockout voice.” When Nina takes the stage, expect goosebumps, spine-tingling moments, and emotions that soar. Her voice, as Cadence Magazine New York puts it, is “natural, sexy, and effortless.”

With a career spanning decades, Nina has become one of Australia’s most respected and versatile vocalists — captivating audiences across concert halls, festivals, theatres, clubs, television, radio and international stages. From headline performances and large-scale productions to intimate, heartfelt concerts, her artistry is defined by emotional depth, powerhouse vocals and an unmistakable connection to her audience. Over the years, she has released multiple albums, each showcasing her evolution as both a singer and songwriter, and has produced acclaimed themed shows celebrating the great voices and eras that have shaped her musical journey.

For this very special intimate show at the The Ellington, Nina returns to her own stories — performing original songs from her album Into the Light, alongside more recent releases and brand-new material. Backed by the dynamic Guitarist, Jackson Venables, this show will be rich with groove, warmth and musical finesse, blending soul and contemporary influences in a way only Nina can.
