Some artists sing songs while others narrate the stories of our lives with music. J-Loré does both, and compels you feel every word she sings. Of African American descent, a cherished voice among Perth’s Gospel and R&B royalty, J-Loré is sultry, sophisticated, fiercely soulful and delightfully witty.
Formerly known to audiences as Jade-Lori Crompton she emerges as J-Loré, a new name for a familiar voice, celebrating the evolution of the woman, the artist and the storyteller. The youngest daughter of STAX recording artist C. L. Blast (US) her musical journey includes opening for Ian Moss on her 21st birthday, singing alongside Guy Sebastian on his 100 Times Across the Sun Tour, Directing gospel music group The Joyful Noice Gospel Choir Inc. and an invitation to jam with Beyoncé’s all-female touring band among other incredible musical moments.
No stranger to Perth’s live music circuit, sharing stages with some of the city’s most in-demand musicians. With the fearless storytelling of Jill Scott and Erykah Badu, the playful elegance of Blossom Dearie, sultry energy of Victoria Monét, vocal authority of Tasha Cobbs Leonard, The Clark Sisters, blended with high performance energy of Tina Turner and Beyonce, J-Loré effortlessly blends soul, jazz, rock, folk, gospel, R&B and neo-soul into one delicious moment after another.
