Pianist Flavio Colonetti performs modern jazz originals alongside covers of indie and alternative music as he prepares to leave Perth for a while.
On this night, the music is about growing, learning, and evolving. It is about confronting the feelings of change, about independence, and about following the direction of the heart. It is about being fair, being honest, and being true to oneself.
After completing his Honours degree at WAAPA, Flavio is ready to take the next step in his career. He was the recipient of the Greg Benjamin Music Excellence Scholarship in 2024. He graduated from Churchlands in 2021 as ATAR Dux in Music and performed as part of the Performing Arts Perspectives program. Earlier this year, he played Rhodes on Josh Parker’s album thecitythatsleeps and regularly performs with the Drieberg brothers, PRAAZ led by Praashekh Borkar, and The Sounds of Woodstock, a tribute band led by Kniki Saleeba.
