Jazz pianist and composer Flavio Colonetti is back in Perth. He is looking forward to sharing some of the music he has been working on overseas before he heads off again.
The set will include original compositions, alongside interpretations of some newer music within a modern jazz setting.

Following the completion of his Honours degree at WAAPA, he is taking the next steps in his career. He has been involved with Daniel Susnjar’s group, ‘Brightside,’ which is releasing a studio record. When he is in town, he performs with Josh Parker’s ensemble, having also played Rhodes on the 2025 album thecitythatsleeps. He also plays with the Drieberg brothers, PRAAZ led by Praashekh Borkar, and The Sounds of Woodstock, a tribute band led by Kniki Saleeba. His academic and professional milestones include being awarded the Fulbright Scholarship, winning the 2025 Jazz Honours Prize from WAAPA, receiving the Greg Benjamin Music Excellence Scholarship in 2024, graduating from Churchlands as ATAR Dux in Music in 2021, and performing in the Performing Arts Perspectives program.
