Charlie-Moon Meader is an Australian singer-songwriter blending soul, R&B, funk, jazz, and pop into a distinctive and emotionally charged sound. Known for his powerful vocals, recognisable tone, and striking blue-and-orange visual identity, Charlie has built a reputation as an artist who leaves a lasting impression both on stage and online.

Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Charlie has spent the past decade performing across the live music scene, developing a strong reputation for his commanding live performances and vocal versatility. His experience spans everything from intimate acoustic sets and weddings to full band performances at some of Perth’s most respected venues, including The Ellington Jazz Club, His Majesty’s Theatre, The Bird, Mojo’s Bar, and Perth Concert Hall.

A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Certificate in Jazz Performance, Charlie combines technical musicality with raw emotion and contemporary appeal. His influences draw from soul, funk, pop, and jazz traditions, while his unique vocal tone and storytelling create a sound entirely his own.

In 2026, Charlie gained national recognition as a Top 8 finalist on Australian Idol, earning a Fast Pass into the Top 12 and delivering one of the standout auditions of the season. During his time on the show, he built a rapidly growing audience across Australia and contributed to a #1 iTunes charting single, “All Night Long”, alongside the Australian Idol Top 12 finalists.

A sought-after Western Australian collaborator, Charlie has worked alongside some of the state’s most respected musicians and producers, including Lee Buddle, Daniel Susnjar and Ben Vanderwal, while building a growing catalogue of original releases and creative partnerships across Australia and internationally.

Beyond Australia, Charlie has performed internationally throughout the United Kingdom, Singapore, and the United States, including Los Angeles. With new music, live shows, and touring plans on the horizon, Charlie Moon is emerging as one of Australia’s most exciting contemporary soul and pop artists.
