Brenda Lee returns to the Ellington for another delightful evening of unforgettable jazz classics, together with her stellar line up, featuring Mike Nelson on piano, Lachlan Gear on saxophone, Adam Springhetti on bass and Bronton Ainsworth on drums.
Brenda Lee is Perth’s international Lady of Jazz. Trained in jazz vocals at WAAPA and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Brenda is an established jazz vocalist, well known for her quiet sophistication and versatility, coupled with smooth and sultry vocals. Brenda has performed with the best musicians in town in Perth, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Vancouver and New York.
The evening’s repertoire will be a delectable array of standards and jazz interpretations, ranging from Bossanova to Swing and everything in between, in honour of jazz greats, the likes of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Henri Betti, Wayne Shorter, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall and many more…
