Part concert, part maritime storytelling, with the occasional sing-along, these traditional sea shanties come alive with rousing vocal harmonies and live traditional instruments. Along the way, expect tales, myths, fascinating facts and plenty of bad puns as Freo’s favourite pretend sailors relive the work songs of the golden age of piracy.

Hailing from the heart of Fremantle, Western Australia, The Lost Quays are Australia’s premier sea shanty band, bringing the songs and sounds of the sea to audiences across the country for nearly a decade. Born from a deep love of maritime music and its traditions, the band brings the rich heritage of seafaring folk songs roaring into the present. The Lost Quays draw from centuries of maritime music while giving every performance their own energy, character and unmistakable sound. Whether singing traditional work songs of sailors, modern shanty hits or their original songs, The Lost Quays invite audiences into a world where the spirit of Fremantle’s maritime heritage is never far away.
