Remember the songs Nonna used to sing? Now they swing!

Italian classics get a lively jazz makeover in NonnaMia!, featuring Etta D’Elia’s beautiful voice and the irresistible groove of her Italian Jazz Band.

Sing along to Bella Ciao, sway to Mambo Italiano and join in with a big “Oh, Oh!” when Volare comes around. Along the way, Etta shares the funny, touching and sometimes surprising stories of Italian women who came to Australia — their adventures, family life, struggles and unforgettable moments.

Perfect for a day out with your Nonna, or anyone who loves Italian music and culture. Sip a glass of vino, enjoy a nice pizza (but no pineapple if you don’t want Nonna getting mad!), sing and laugh with us.

Bring Nonna to The Ellington… Mamma Mia! (I mean, NonnaMia!)

Etta was honoured to sing twice at the Vatican in Rome, both times broadcast live on RAI 1 television. In 2004, she sang for Pope John Paul II, and in 2005 she performed in the show Notte di Luce in the presence of Pope Benedict XVI.

Etta has performed jazz across WA in duos, trios, and quartets at venues such as The Crown, the Ellington Jazz Club, Jazz Fremantle, Lyrics Underground, and The Duke of George, just to name a few. In 2014, at Perth Concert Hall, she performed solo in Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. In 2018, she performed live for Telethon on Channel 7.
