Doors 6pm
Show 7pm

As the Ellington lights dim and the room settles into anticipation, surrender to an evening where the sophistication of jazz meets the intoxicating pulse of Latin rhythm. Renowned vocalist Tim Parish is joined by the outstanding Rio Berryman on piano, Jonathan Chen on bass, and Angus Davidson on drums for a performance of elegance, passion, and irresistible swing, with a touch of infectious humour.

Drawing on the rich traditions of Cuba and Brazil, this stylish quartet weaves together smouldering bossa novas, exhilarating sambas, Afro-Cuban jazz classics, and imaginative and unexpected interpretations of beloved songs and forgotten gems. Every performance is alive with sparkling improvisation and the vibrant energy that has made Latin jazz one of the world’s most captivating musical styles.

Whether you’re enjoying a cocktail with friends or simply immersing yourself in the music, this is an evening designed to transport you—where every note shimmers, every rhythm seduces, and every song invites you into the timeless glamour of a classic jazz club.

Join us for a night of exceptional music, effortless style, and the unforgettable spirit of Latin jazz. Cha Cha Heels are highly recommended.

Tim Parish has established an eager and dedicated following for his lush vocals, extensive range and versatility of musical performances. A regular at the Ellington, in recent years he has sung in numerous solo shows and in collaboration with Libby Hammer and with fellow baritone Michael Heap as the duo ‘Beautiful Beasts’. His sold out shows include, ‘Beautiful Beasts Bonhomie’, ‘Fella Sings Ella’, ‘Shall We France?’, ‘Entre Nous’, ‘Ultra Lounge A-Go-Go’, ‘It Might as well be Swing’, ‘Dude does Doris!’, ‘A Little Bit Lost’, ‘Melodies Oublie’ and ‘Springtime in Swingtime’ just to name a few. Tim’s unique and distinct style was developed over years of training and a devotion to traditional Jazz for which he developed a passion from childhood while listening to the music spinning from the records of the great jazz performers as well as the more obscure “lost” stars of the 30s and 40s. With an innate feel for the jazz mode, be it the lightest of tunes or the most lush of ballads, Tim Parish gives each song a personal touch that keeps audiences coming back for more.
