Following their cult-hit Sydney residency and two national tours of CHOOSE BOB! 40 Ridiculous Years, Mark Trevorrow (Bob Downe), Rupert Noffs and ARIA Award-winning Music Director Bev Kennedy present OLD FRIENDS! – a joyful evening of music, laughter and friendship. Featuring an eclectic mix of show tunes, pop classics, jazz standards and unexpected musical gems from Sondheim to Bacharach to the Bee Gees, OLD FRIENDS! is warm, witty, wonderfully entertaining – and most of all superbly sung and played.

MARK TREVORROW’s 50-year journey through Australian media has taken him from cadet reporter at the Herald Sun (1977-81), hit records with THE GLOBOS (1982-86), the creation of BOB DOWNE (1984), Arts Editor at VOGUE AUSTRALIA (1984-87), presenting on ABC Radio & TV (2002-2012) and back again to Bob – and it isn’t over yet!

RUPERT NOFFS studied at the Conservatorium of Music and NIDA in Sydney and has never lost his first love as a singer and performer. The grandson of Wayside Chapel founder Rev. Ted Noffs, he also worked for the Noffs Family Foundation and moved to New York City where he opened the Lucky Bee restaurant with his husband Matty Bennett, before returning to Australia and resuming a years-long collaboration with both of his old friends, Mark Trevorrow and Bev Kennedy.

BEV KENNEDY won an ARIA Award for her work on THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, still Australia’s biggest selling cast album. She has enjoyed a long career in much demand as a Music Director and accompanist for distinguished solo artists, in orchestras and in musicals including CHICAGO and ANNIE.

“Trevorrow and Noffs are both consummate performers with a wealth of Australian and international experience. They work flawlessly together, singing, moving, sharing songs, memories and show-biz stories in a carefully prepared and timed program that is varied, personal and a little wicked! Bev Kennedy at the baby grand is their one-woman band.”
Carol Wimmer, Stage Whispers

“Old Friends is a fabulously entertaining show. Mark Trevorrow has long been one of Australia’s comedy and cabaret stars, enjoying international success with his hilariously camp alter ego Bob Downe.”
Jo Litson, Limelight

“A wonderful, funny show about friendship.”
Alan Cumming

“Noffs has a charisma that comes from far more than his singing and acting. There is a ‘boy next door’ charm about the guy, a naïveté and honesty that belies his off-stage achievements. His grandfather Ted Noffs founded the Wayside Chapel. And yet he remains totally unaffected, completely genuine.”
Carol Wimmer, Stage Whispers

“They are such a team... a standing ovation.”
Adelaide Advertiser

“Supporting throughout is the fantastic Bev Kennedy on piano, who does not stop and keeps everything on track.”
Glam Adelaide

“Fabulous! So good together and the arrangements are amazing.”
