Blues ConFusion is a Perth-based blues-rock outfit blending original music with an eclectic mix of reimagined covers, drawing on influences from blues, jazz and classic rock. Formed in 2013 by guitarist and songwriter Phil Bourgault, the band has developed a distinctive sound shaped by soaring vocals, Hammond organ grooves, driving rhythms and fiery guitar work.

The lineup features Phil Bourgault (guitar), Bella Jean (vocals), Simon Sharp (keys), Tom Pestrucci (drums) and Andy Robinson (bass) – a group of seasoned musicians bringing together backgrounds spanning blues, jazz, rock and contemporary performance. Their live shows move effortlessly between soulful blues, groove-driven jazz fusion and high-energy rock influences.

Blues ConFusion performs a combination of Phil’s original compositions alongside carefully selected covers interpreted in the band’s own style. They have released two albums, an EP and a single of original music, available across streaming platforms.

The band has appeared at venues and festivals including The Ellington Jazz Club, Blues at Bridgetown, Darlington Arts Festival, Perth Blues Club, Lyric’s Underground and The Duke of George, and has shared stages with artists including Dave Hole, Dave Faulkner and Blue Manna.
