Join WA Youth Jazz Orchestra’s Catalyst Jazz Orchestra for a compelling evening of jazz featuring acclaimed vocalist and composer Holli Scott.
Described by ABC Jazz’s Monica Trapaga as “a true poet… deep, gutsy, human, and very vulnerable,” Holli brings her rich, emotive voice and fearless musicality to this special collaboration. Known for blending traditional jazz roots with contemporary, folk and avant-garde influences, her performances are immersive, expressive and deeply personal.
Her latest album Weather and Weeds was released to critical acclaim, named a feature album on ABC Jazz and included in the station’s highlight releases of 2024 and 2025. In 2025, Holli received the WAM Song of the Year Award (Jazz), the WAM Award for Best Jazz Act, and was a finalist in the prestigious Freedman Jazz Fellowship.
A former WAYJO member (2014–15) and now a respected educator at WAAPA, Holli returns to collaborate with the next generation of jazz musicians in a program of classic ballads, swinging standards and original works that explore beauty, darkness and lyrical storytelling.
