Oscar Langmar (possesses) a magnetic stage presence that continually draws your attention to the various characters he portrays.” – Australian Arts Review 2025

Come and meet those dancing feet at the Ellington Jazz Club, as Oscar Langmar toots, taps, and croons his way through iconic jazz and theatrical repertoire! A true triple threat of stage and screen, Oscar is often asked what he can do — and occasionally, what he can’t. Some of his answers may surprise you.

@stephenheathphotography

Originally from Sydney, Oscar moved to Perth to pursue his dreams at WAAPA, where he is currently studying Musical Theatre. He began dancing at age two and singing at six, with a performance career spanning his entire life. Notable roles include Jason in Falsettos, Young Guido in Nine, Billy Idol in The Wedding Singer, and five years performing in the children’s chorus with Opera Australia. Most recently, Oscar appeared in Tivoli Lovely — a new musical by Eddie Perfect — at the Heath Ledger Theatre, where he proudly performs a small tap solo as the Train Conductor. He unironically calls this his greatest moment on stage to date.

The evening’s program will feature a mix of jazz standards and show tunes, brought to life through Oscar’s vocals, tap dance, and alto saxophone. Expect some wild stories, shower thoughts, and lots of height jokes. He’ll be joined by an exceptional jazz combo featuring his friends Gianni, Lucy, Emily, and Martha — together, they’ll bring his giant (tap) steps to life!

Oscar has always wanted to perform at the Ellington Jazz club since the moment he saw his first show there. He is extremely grateful for the opportunity.
