With a sound that’s electric and a spirit that’s unstoppable, they’ll take you on a sonic journey straight to Funky Town —where jazz meets groove, and the dance floor calls!
This International Women’s Day, Echo of Aphrodite are paying homage to female artists that inspire them, such as Chaka Khan, Candy Dulfer, Christina Aguilera, Raye and Olivia Dean!

Andrea Jordan-Keane is a dynamic Australian saxophonist and singer whose work spans jazz, classical, Motown, Irish Celtic, and contemporary genres. 2024 graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Andrea brings
a rich versatility to every performance, blending technical mastery with expressive depth. She is a current member of the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra and performs with the Western Australian Charity Orchestra Wind Symphony, which recently won both the A Grade Wind Band Competition in Melbourne and the WA State Championships. Her ensemble experience also includes the high-energy performances with Perth Sax Rockers and Kick-INXS, Motown-inspired performances with Milford Street Shakers, and a growing repertoire of Irish Celtic music.
Andrea is a founding member of the award-winning Symbios Quartet, and most recently, she cofounded Echo of Aphrodite, a new ensemble exploring the intersection of jazz, funk, and genre fusion. Her work as an arranger and performer continues to push boundaries, with original compositions and collaborations featured in festivals and concert halls across Western Australia. Whether performing in large ensembles or intimate quartets, Andrea’s artistry reflects a commitment to musical exploration and a passion for connecting with audiences through sound.
Martha Bird is a Perth based percussionist undertaking her fifth year of study at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.She has performed with ensembles and orchestras all across Perth such as Defying Gravity Percussion ensemble, Milford Street Shakers, WA Youth Orchestra, Perth Symphony & WA Wind Symphony, including her own band ‘Echo of Aphrodite’. She frequently performs in theatre shows where she has been involved in over 20 musicals on both Percussion & Drumkit. She is a finalist in the Richard Gill Prize at WAAPA, as well as the recipient of the Lui Paolino percussion scholarship.
