VMQ is back! Join pianist Valentina Macias and her crew for a night of originals and jazz classics. Expect to hear the likes of Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, Herbie Hancock, Monk, Freddie Hubbard and more!
Valentina Macias is a Perth-based pianist and composer known for her expressive, engaging performances and warm, intimate sound. Following the success of her debut show JUST ABOVE WATER she has been invited to perform across the city with her quintet, appearing at venues such as The Bird, The Ellington, and Lyrics Underground, as well as performing down south in Denmark for the Red Gum Pass Festival.
Joining her onstage will be Zoe Boyd on trumpet, Chris Kazuki on guitar, Lucy Browning on bass and Kevin Huang on drums—plus featured guests on the night!
