The Ellington is proud to present rising star PERSIA – a phenomenal vocalist making waves on the Perth scene. She returns to The Ellington stage for her PIJF debut with a cozy night of R&B, neo-soul, and jazz-infused grooves.
With Persian heritage, PERSIA brings a unique voice to Australia’s music scene — one that celebrates identity while creating space for Middle Eastern representation in contemporary music. After five years performing across the country and graduating from the prestigious WAAPA, she is fast emerging as one of Perth’s most exciting vocal talents.
Following the success of her debut single No Hero—which caught the attention of triple j and ABC News—PERSIA brings an effortless performance, rich in emotion and technical brilliance.
She’ll be joined by some of Perth’s hottest young players — Tommi Flamenco (bass), Alfred Bangezhano (keys), Ben Lazzaro (guitar), Kuda Mateta (drums) — plus special surprise guests. Expect a dynamic mix of original music, hidden gems, soul classics, and reimagined jazz standards.
