Zero Emcee is a young energetic Noongar/Jingili rapper out of Beechboro Boorloo. He’s been a hip-hop head since he was a kid and he’s never looked back. He is a huge part of the WA and national hip-hop community performing at Dreamtime at the G (MCG), major festivals and recently in Thailand. With so many skills at his fingertips Zero never fails to represent his culture with pride and enthusiasm. His lyrics are vivid and tell a story of a young bla(c)k man trying to makes sense of the world he lives in. He is a dynamic performer and is able to captivate the crowd with his size and gravitas.
On this very weekend in 2009, The Ellington Jazz Club opened it’s doors for the first time. Those doors have stayed open seven nights a week, for fifteen years since! We’re celebrating this milestone with a three day festival showcasing our diverse and vibrant Jazz scene, and in honour of the late Graham Wood, the club’s co-founder. Please join us to celebrate the beating heart of Perth’s Jazz community, to commemorate the rich history of The Ellington Jazz Club and to toast to it’s bright future!
