Come celebrate the culmination of 4 years of study with a night of fun and (hopefully) wonderful music! Featuring original tunes and arrangements with some modern twists, it’ll be a fun time and a showcase of my own studies and the incredibly talented artists playing alongside me.

Tayah Crothers Graduation Recital
Tayah Crothers is a dynamic and versatile vocalist, delighted to present her graduate WAAPA recital showcasing a variety of her musical influences and personal journey. Growing up in a deeply musical family, Tayah was immersed in diverse genres from an early age, which shaped her into the artist she is today. From musical theatre to modern jazz, she effortlessly blends classic and contemporary styles, adding her own unique interpretation.
Following in her parents’ footsteps while carving out her own distinct path, Tayah has developed a passion for interpreting music with emotion and authenticity. Her performance will be a celebration of her time at WAAPA and a glimpse into the exciting future that lies ahead.

Sam Markham’s Graduation Recital
Jazz bassist Sam Markham presents his Graduation Recital on November 12 at The Ellington Jazz Club. This will be an unforgettable evening showcasing the culmination of his studies over the past four years. Drawing influences from bass players such as Christian McBride and Janek Gwizdala, Sam uses the bass to inspire and convey narratives through his music, utilising his playing and compositions to forge deep connections with audiences.
