The Sweet Teas are swinging back into the Ellington for an afternoon of jazz gems and sultry ballads, delivered in lush three-part harmony. Their nod to the great jazz classics will provide the perfect dose of New Year cheer, giving you toe-tapping swing, sweeping love songs, hip-swaying bossa and of course, their signature jazz vocal arrangements.
Brought together by a shared weakness-at-the-knees for jazz standards and exquisite harmony, Heidi Lake, Fifi Mondello and Cleo Sayers have been performing as The Sweet Teas vocal trio since 2013.
Heidi is a wildly accomplished vocalist, cellist and pianist with a wealth of performing, arranging, accompanying and board-breaking experience under her belt (and that belt is Taekwondo 4th Dan, thank you very much).
Fifi is a Sicilian songstress, song writer, pianist, dancer and Fringe darling who has been delighting audiences for three decades with her ability to tell stories of love with her voice (and eyes … and definitely her hands).
Cleo is the sweet petite who always sings and rarely speaks. She has an uncanny knack for picking up harmonies and has spent a decent part of the last twenty years joyfully performing as a vocalist, playing keys and collaboratively song writing.
