After a sold out and highly acclaimed show in July, The Drieberg Brothers are reloaded for all those who missed out, or are prepared for a second round of surprises and sheer musical adventure. Joining them are Flavio Colonetti, Finn McKibbin and special guests, TBA.

If you have ever seen the Drieberg Brothers before, you will know to expect the unexpected.

Since graduating WAAPA in 2022 with the Jazz Recital Award, Daniel Drieberg has spent time living, learning and performing in New York, Nashville, and Los Angeles. In January, he was given the esteemed Golden Fiddle Award at Tamworth Country Music Festival. Daniel’s versatility and passion for cultural exchange through music has found him to be sought after as a session musician in many different settings and styles.

Joel Drieberg is an up and coming drummer who represented WA as one of six James Morrison Jazz Scholarship Finalists from around Australia in both 2024 and 2025. He was also featured in the Performing Arts Perspectives concert after receiving 100% in his ATAR jazz recital. He began his journey at WAAPA this year where he is quickly refining his sound and fluidity as an improviser. His enthusiasm is infectious and shines bright in his approach to drumming.

Flavio Colonetti is a young gun pianist undertaking his graduation year at WAAPA and making waves in the WA scene as a pianist and composer. Drawing from a blend of influences including Oscar Peterson, Brad Mehldau, and Shai Maestro, Flavio has an indelible and versatile musical voice.

Finn McKibbin is in his 3rd year of study at WAAPA. As a jazz bassist and improviser, Finn has burst onto the scene within the last year, performing across many of Perth’s biggest stages, alongside some of the finest musicians in the city’s rich musical landscape.

Rest assured, this one of a kind ensemble will present many discoveries and places which they have encountered along their eclectic and rich musical journeys. You will hear unique interpretations of classics as well as originals, modern favourites, and hidden gems from artists including Chick Corea, The Yellowjackets, Shakti, and more. A show definitely not to be missed.
