Drawing repertoire from jazz & swing standards, trad. jazz, bebop, blues, New Orleans style music and more, The Swan River Ramblers combine a wealth of performance experience, with instrumental virtuosity and a keen sense of spontaneity.
Formed by bassplayer Pete Jeavons in 2017 the band initially performed only as a roving, acoustic quartet aboard the Paddlesteamer Decoy as it cruised the Swan River during WA’s warmer months. With many sold out shows aboard the PS Decoy now under their belt The Ramblers have started to make a few appearances on land too, adding a drummer to their ranks and performing at venues such as Lyric’s Underground, The Duke of George the Navy Club (Jazz Fremantle), and the York Festival (2022).
The Ramblers return to The Ellington on Thursday December 7 featuring the talents of Adam Hall (trumpet/vocals), Lachlan Glover (tenor sax), Ray Walker (guitar/vocals), Pete Evans (drums) and of course Pete Jeavons (double bass). Join the Swan River Ramblers for a great night of jazz that is guaranteed to please.
