James Sandon is back in Perth for a short visit and presenting his jazz quartet for one show only, featuring original music and most requested favourites.
James is a D’Addario Australia artist, a multi-instrumentalist from Perth, and a graduate from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), at Edith Cowan University. James began his career in music from the age of twelve, and has performed and recorded extensively throughout Australasia, Asia, and North America with artists including Billy Cobham, Chris Potter, Ernie Watts, Frank Foster, Billy Harper, Soulive, Eric Krasnow, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, Sam Yahel, Gil Askey and Nnenna Freelon.
James is a well respected educator in saxophone, theory and improvisation at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, and continues to regularly perform in Brisbane and interstate at festivals, jazz clubs and prominent music venues.
Joined by longtime Perth collaborators Ben Vanderwal, Harry Mitchell and Karl Florisson, this is a night not to be missed!
