Simone Craddock

Tuesday 20 October 7.00pm

Spring is here!

The days are longer, the weather warmer, and all around us, the earth is teeming with new life!

Wildflowers burst into bloom! Birds burst into song! And after a long, rainy Winter, Simone Craddock bursts onto The Ellington stage once more!

Perth’s multi-award winning Songstress brings her unique brand of storytelling to a repertoire inspired by the changing of the seasons. Performing uplifting classics from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Tom Jobim, Frank Sinatra, Anthony Newly, The Beatles, Michael le Grand and Sarah Vaughan, Simone reflects on the Winter that has been, celebrates new beginnings, and inspires infinite possibilities!

Simone’s dual career in music and theatre has taken her across Asia, Europe and The States. The WA born Singer & Actress was based in London for 20 years, performing in Europe’s most prestigious venues, including Ronnie Scotts, Houses of Parliament and Australia House. She has a presence born of leading roles on the West End stage & International tours of Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dirty Dancing and Hello Dolly!

Having played the Edinburgh Fringe & London Jazz Festival, Simone returned home two years ago, winning the 2020 Music & Musicals Award for her self-penned Fringe World debut, ‘Nina, Love Simone’. Since then, Simone has received further accolades for her sold-out, award-winning seasons of ‘Birth of the Blues’ at the State Theatre Centre of W.A. and ‘Ella & Louis’ at Government House Ballroom. Simone returned to The Ballroom to sing the National Anthem at the Governor’s request and was recently a guest soloist for Perth Symphony Orchestra’s fifth annual ‘Symphony on the Green’.

Tonight, accompanied by an exceptional band, Simone delights in the promise of the season. Bringing a spring to your step, beauty to your ears, and hope to your heart!
