Simone Craddock returns to the Ellington for the first time since her sold-out Fringe World season earlier this year. Tonight Simone delves into her chequered past, ahem, career, to perform beautiful songs and regale you with stories from a path less travelled. Drawing from an eclectic repertoire which reflects her varied influences, Simone weaves jazz, blues and latin together with gospel, folk and soul. Combining artistry with an irrepressible sense of humour and an unparallelled gift for storytelling, an evening with this mesmerizing diva will elevate your spirit!

Simone’s dual career in music and theatre has taken her across Asia, Europe and The States. The WA born Singer & Actress was based in London for the last twenty years, performing in Europe’s most prestigious venues, including Ronnie Scotts, Houses of Parliament and Australia House. She has a presence borneof leading roles on the West End stage & International tours of Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dirty Dancing and Hello Dolly!

Having played the Edinburgh Fringe & London Jazz Festival, Simone was thrilledto return home recently, winning the 2020 Music & Musicals Award for her Fringe Worlddebut, Nina, Love Simone. This year, Simone went on to win Fringe World Music & Musicals Awards for her sold-out seasons of Birth of the Blues at the State Theatre Centre and Ella & Louis at The Ellington and Government House Ballroom. Simone has since returned to perform at Government House repeatedly at the Governor’s request and was recently a guest soloist for Perth Symphony Orchestra’s fifth annual ‘Symphony on the Green’.
