Metro Big Band

Sunday 05 December 6.00pm

The 17 piece ‘Metro Big Band’ – A group of fabulous musicians with a wealth of talent and experience who have a passion for performing ‘Big Band’ music – featuring vocalists Rob Pring, Leah Guelfi and music director Erin Royer. Think of an era of the Jazz greats – Consider some of the classic songs of the Mo-Town era in the decade referred to as the ‘Swinging 60s.

Supplement this with the occasional torch song, a few blues and Soul numbers and spice it up with some catchy contemporary dance tunes and you’ll come close to imagining what ‘The Metro Big Band’

is all about! Metro plays a selection of the best Swing/Jazz charts by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin, Peggy Lee, Natalie Cole, Patti Austin… and many more, together with a selection of Mo-Town, Blues, rock and Contemporary tunes by Amy Winehouse, Aretha
Franklin, Michael Buble, Renee Olstead…. To name a few. Always excited to meet and entertain our new audience!
