Friday 15 April 7.00pm
Holli Scott is an established vocalist and composer in the Australian music scene. Her sound is rich, soulful and dark, heavily rooted in jazz music, and draws inspiration from artists such as Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Cassandra Wilson. WAAPA alumni, Scott appears on several local and international recordings and was selected as a finalist in the James Morrison Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship. Since the release of her debut album DUST in 2019, she has received a number of award nominations, including those for WAM Awards’ ‘song of the year’, ‘best jazz act’, and ‘best vocalist’, and placed as a finalist in the John Lennon Song Writing Contest (USA) in 2021.
