Jordan Boase - WAAPA Jazz Graduation Recital
Wednesday 17 November 8.00pm
After 4 years of work its finally here, Jordan Boase brings his time at WAAPA to an end with a night of arrangements and original contemporary jazz. Ranging from the masterful writing of Wayne Shorter to the contemporary prowess of Frank Ocean with so much in between, this night will show where the style of Jordan Boase has come from and where it’s destined to go.
Throughout his time at WAAPA Jordan has performed a countless number of shows with many different ensembles such as the Jazz Vocal Ensemble, Fat Funk Band, Chris Tarr’s Brazilian ensemble and most recently Daniel Susnjar’s Afro Peruvian Ensemble where he has developed his skills in a multitude of areas and will without a doubt continue to do so. Outside of WAAPA, Jordan has developed his skills with groups such as the Perth Cabaret Collective, WAYJO’s Monday and Tuesday Night Orchestras, and most recently arranging for his own ensemble where he embarked on reimagining some of the works of Bon Iver.
For his recital Jordan will be joined by friends, all of which are the talent of the future. This night is truly an unmissable event.
