Daniel Susnjar presents Candela! Afro-Peruvian Roots Revisited

Multi award-winning drummer/composer Daniel Susnjar is internationally renowned for his expertise in Afro-Peruvian jazz music. Since first encountering this music in a life changing way in 2010 (followed closely by recording and touring throughout USA, Peru and Australia), Daniel has been inspired to tirelessly experiment with Afro-Peruvian and Jazz musical sensibilities – leading to innovation, collaboration and critical acclaim. For this special one-time performance, Daniel presents classic Afro-Peruvian songs made famous by Peruvian all-time greats including Chabuca Granda, Susana Baca, Eva Ayllón, Zambo Cavero, Alex Acuña and next-generation Peruvian artists including Tito Manrique, Tony Succar and Gabriel Alegria.
Expect to hear joyful melodies, infectious grooves and dynamic musical interplay from Western Australia‘s most exciting musical talent. Bring your dancing shoes!
