Daniel Susnjar Afro-Peruvian Jazz Group presents 'Grooves from Darkness to Light'

Thursday 06 January 7.00pm

Fresh from at-capacity performances at the Perth International Jazz Festival, Fremantle Arts Centre and Day in the Forrest, the Daniel Susnjar Afro-Peruvian Jazz Group presents Peruvian coastal grooves of healing and strength – aimed at cultivating positive mental health in both performers and listeners, in the face of the challenges which life can bring.

Inspired by global events taking place over the past 2 years, Daniel and his multi award-winning ensemble seek to answer the question: “in what ways can music inspire internal peace, hope and resilience when we are pushed to our very limits, our breaking point?”

Expect to hear world class performances of brand new music which boldly and uniquely combines sensibilities of Afro-Peruvian music and contemporary jazz to deliver innovative and heartfelt artistic expressions.

Winner, 2021 WAM awards Best Jazz Act

Winner, 2021 WAM Jazz Song of the Year
