A night of Sarah, Ella and Streisand with Chris McNulty
Friday 21 May 7.00pm
Chris McNulty has been given the honour of joining ABC Jazz National this coming May as ‘Artist in Residence’ where she’ll feature a selection of music from her personal collection – tracks by other artists and also some of her own that have guided or impacted her jazz journey. You can tune into ABC.net.au/Jazz every day at 2pm from May 1st onwards to listen in and then again every Sunday for Chris’ full week’s program.
A superb interpreter of the Great American Songbook, sprinkled with a few of her own highly unique originals, McNulty brings the ‘sass’ of Sarah Vaughan, the elegance of Ella Fitzgerald and the sophistication of Streisand to West Australian audiences. Joined by her equally agile and sensitive ensemble, listeners are treated to high energy jazz, New York style. McNulty’s mesmerizing storytelling, phrasing and ballad singing continue to excite and enchant audiences worldwide. Don’t miss this one. BOOK early.
