Chamber Jam October 26th, 2009
After a sell-out September, the October program is set to follow suit with two world-class groups on the stage.
Opening the evening is the incredible Fisenden Flute ensemble. The group will return to WA for Chamber Jam following recent New York performances and an appearance at The Australian Flute Festival in Adelaide.
The ensemble will be performing Iain Grandage's new work, ‘Telegraphed’ (commissioned by the group for their New York appearance), Michal Rosiak's Scherzo, as well as a new work again written for the group by Michal – so the first time these pieces will be heard in WA.
Taking to the stage for the rest of the evening will be Tetrafide Percussion, returning to Chamber Jam. Tetrafide is Australia's hottest young percussion group. Their east-meets-west, power-packed concerts have left audiences worldwide awestruck. With influences from all corners of the globe including Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and Latin America, plus a healthy dose of high-action dance and junk percussion, Tetrafide’s shows are a collection of the best of the world’s musical styles, combined into a fun and action-packed event suitable for anyone with a pulse.
Whether you’re coming back for more or seeing them for the first time, you’ll have a night to remember.
