Tiaryn Griggs is fast becoming a recognised name around Perth. With a sweet and sensual voice combined with her natural jazz piano sound, this sultry singer draws a wide audience and caters to any occasion. Tiaryn has performed around Perth in many venues such as the Astor Ballroom at Burswood, the Esplanade Hotel, The Perth Jazz Society (Charles Hotel) and Perth’s new Jazz Club “The Ellington”, Perth Concert Hall with the West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra, as well as many cafes, restaurants, fashion shows, functions and weddings.
Tiaryn’s musical talent was discovered at a young age and in 2002 was accepted into the prestigious Perth Modern High School, on a music scholarship. In 2005, Tiaryn went on the schools European music tour to Italy, France and England. It was on this tour that she performed with her peers in front of her majesty, the Queen of England, at Westminster Abbey. After completing her high school education Tiaryn was accepted into the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, to study a Bachelor of Jazz Performance, majoring in piano. She has recently completed her final year at WAAPA and looks to continue developing her solo and trio sounds, and spreading her music across Australia.
