TRG Trio

TRG is Perth's newest trio, formed from Australia's finest young musicians. Tonight, they will be presenting a night of reworked standards and contemporary originals from the worlds finest Jazz composers of the highest musical quality.  Tal Cohen, piano, is making a lot of noise around the Australian jazz sector, recently returning from touring Australia with the new Jamie Oelhers quartet.  Robin Murray, double bass, has also just returned from touring Australia with the Mace Francis Orchestra, while also keeping busy finishing his Honours Degree. Garo Tanzi, drums, has been occupied working with his original jazz quartet, Gamataka, and performing with Australia's elite here in Perth while completing his degree.  This year he has been chosen to tour China with fellow WAAPA musicians in September.  The level of musicianship and expression that will be heard tonight is far beyond their years. These twentysomethings will keep you on the edge of your seat.
