Juliana Areias - Jazz Brazil Show
Thursday, 20th September @8:00 PM

Spring comes in full swing for Perth's Brazilian Singer Juliana Areias. In between a performance to an expected crowd of 30,000 in Sydney and before hitting the road again for a debut appearance in Adelaide, Juliana returns to The Ellington Jazz Club with her new Jazz Brazil Show on September 20.
As the name suggests, the concert showcases Juliana's singular sense of rhythm, authentic musicality and interpretation of bossa & samba classics, meeting contemporary Brazilian Popular Music & original favorites, in an explicit jazz format, context and perspective.
The audience is invited to join this dynamic synergy created by the encounter of these two syncopated musical universes, so harmoniously dissonant, amalgamated & contrasting , intuitive & precise at the same time.
On board with Juliana Areias in this sensuous musical adventure, are some of the most actually impressive and sought-after Australian talents: pianist Tal Cohen, drummer Bronton Ainsworth and bassist Robin Murray. And to make this an even more stunning evening, Juliana is thrilled to announce singer Shameem Taheri-Lee as her special guest, sharing their music, inspirations and the stage for the first time.
Don't miss this opportunity to experience a show baked with the perfect fusion of jazz harmony, beautiful melodies floating on top, fantastic and exclusive rhythm, very sensual language singing sound, diversity of intrinsic talents and a passionate stage presence.
Juliana Areias has lived for many years in Europe (Switzerland) and New Zealand prior to moving to Australia. Always working in the music circuit, her career includes performances at major international events such as the revered Montreau Jazz Festival.

On the following drop down menu choose either table or bar. Table is seated, bar is standing. On busy nights small parties (1-3 people) share at the table. We have a range of tables that seat between 2-6 people.
You need to book one ticket per person, not the number of tables, so change the box which defaults to “1” to the number of people you are paying for. We will organise the tables according the number of people you book for.
If you have a group coming together but paying separately, nominate a group leader, and in the “comments” section of the online booking form, as the leader books, he/she tells us how many places to save, then the others paying independently put, for example, “Jane’s table” in the comments section of the online order form. This way we can be sure to seat your party all together. If you are coming singly or as a group and want to join another group, also tell us in the “comments” section.
